Both stopped training at the judo club in the same year. In 1976 they again started training together at the Belvedere School of Jiu Jitsu under Sensei Ronnie Davies. He then stopped training in 1981 and did not train again until 1997 when he did so with his brother Sensei Paul McLoughlin in the Budokan Martial Arts System reaching the level of 3rd Dan black Belt and is one of only 2 people to do so in Sensei Paul McLoughlins 40 years of training.Tony McLoughlin
